SereneLife SLFTRD26BT Folding Treadmill

SereneLife SLFTRD26BT Folding Treadmill Review

The SereneLife SLFTRD26BT Folding Treadmill has a lot of similarities to the SereneLife SLFTRD25BT. However, this treadmill has a slightly shorter running surface, a slightly less powerful motor, and slightly fewer workout programs. Thus, it is cheaper than the SLFTRD25BT model.

This is a basic treadmill that is designed for those that do not have enough space in their crib yet wish to exercise in the comfort of their homes.

Frame & Constructions

The console with emergency key

The SereneLife SLFTRD26BT Folding Treadmill frame is made up of oval and rectangular-shaped steel parts. It is coated with black anti-corrosion paint except for the base which has grey color instead. There are also white and red color inscriptions on the base and the upright bars.

Just as is the case with most treadmills, there are parts that are made of ABS material. These parts include the side rail covers, the motor cover, and the dashboard.

There is a handrail on each side of the dashboard that is coated with soft rubber foam material for firm and secure grips.

The maximum user weight capacity it supports is 265 lbs./120 kg.

The treadmill’s front base integrates cross-bar steel tubing for maximum stability regardless that it weighs only 59.5 lbs./27 kg.

Moreover, there are transport wheels incorporated so that a user can easily have it rolled around the room without hassles.

The overall assembled dimensions of the unit are 50.7’’ long by 24.4’’ wide by 46.4’’ high. Differently put, the suitable workout area measurements would be 4’2’’ (128.7 cm) in length by 2’ (62 cm) in width. Also, extra clearance of 2’ and 3’ would be needed on each side and rear part of the treadmill, respectively for safety and ease of access purposes.

The Deck of the SereneLife SLFTRD26BT Folding Treadmill

This treadmill has a small deck and tread belt. The running surface dimensions are 39.3’’ long by 15.7’’ wide. Hence, this is not suitable for users that are taller than 6’ tall. Except they wish to only walk on it because even a jog might be very inconvenient due to lack of enough room for full strides.

The tread belt comprises several layers that have a cushioning effect. Therefore, even though there are no cushioning elements on each side of the deck as could be seen on the UREVO URTM005 Treadmill, its multi-layered tread belt helps to reduce the impact on the joints to some degree.

The Motor

The SereneLife SLFTRD26BT Folding Treadmill has a 1-horsepower motor that provides 0.6-6 mph (9.6 kg).

Therefore, the treadmill needs to be plugged into a power source because it is motorized. However, the motor is energy-efficient, thus, it won’t consume too much power and inflate the electric bill.

The power cord is not detachable but built-in and the ON/OFF switch is at the front base.

Even though the motor is only 1 horsepower, it will serve its purpose of providing the drive for walking, jogging, and 6 mph running max without breaking down or overheating.

The motor’s operation is smooth, quiet, and almost vibration-free due to the small flywheel that is incorporated into it.

So, you will be able to exercise without being worried that those around you might be disturbed.

There are 2 ways to manually adjust the speed. One of the ways is through the +/- buttons on the console which enable you to increase or decrease the speed level by an increment of 0.1 mph, while the second way is via the 3 mph, 4 mph, and 5 mph quick keys on the console.

Also, the speed can automatically engage when one of the preset workout programs is selected.

Incline System

The 4-level manual incline system

The SereneLife SLFTRD26BT Folding Treadmill features a manual incline system with 4 adjustable levels. In other words, the incline system offers 6.5%, 8%, 10%, and 12% levels.

The adjustable element is attached to either side of the deck at the rear.

To adjust the incline level, you will have to pause your workout and get off the treadmill. Interestingly, there is a pause function on the console that allows you to pause any active workout any time you wish to step out for a moment so that you don’t have to lose any ongoing workout data already recorded.

The incline system induces resistance to your workouts so that you may lose more calories than you would without it.

The Console

The Bluetooth enabled and workout app compatible console

The console is standard without any advanced features. Although, it is Bluetooth-enabled and it is compatible with Kinomap, and FitShow workout apps. Once any one of these workout apps is downloaded on an Android or iOS-based smartphone it can sync with the treadmill via Bluetooth to track your workout progress, watch tons of workout videos, even run on beautiful virtual trails, and more.

That said, you may have to subscribe monthly to any of these workout apps to get the most out of it.

The console has a 3’’ LCD backlit monitor with segmented windows. This monitor tracks stats such as Time, Distance, Speed, Calories, and Pulse with good readability. The entire stats display all at once except for the Pulse and Calories which could be toggled by the user’s discretion.

The heart rate can only be tracked and displayed when the handrails with the pulse sensors are grasped. The console is not telemetric; it is not compatible with a wireless HR chest strap.

Distance and Speed measurement units are in miles and mph, respectively. They cannot be changed to km and km/h.

As aforementioned, there are 12 built-in workout programs that you may want to select through the program button on the console. They have random settings or layouts to provide the needed result regarding achieving your fitness goals.

Also, it is possible to set a countdown goal for Time, Distance, or Calories.

This treadmill has Bluetooth speakers, 2 water bottle holders, and a tablet holder.

These are designed to enable you to keep water and a smartphone handy for the maintenance of proper hydration and entertainment purposes.

You can sync your smartphone with the built-in speakers to stream music or movies for slightly better audio quality.

The folded SereneLife SLFTRD26BT Folding Treadmill

The SereneLife SLFTRD26BT Folding Treadmill has a space-saving design. So, it is even smaller when it is folded and as a result, it won’t take up too much storage space.

The folded dimensions are 21.65’’ long by 24.4’’ wide by 46.4’’ high. In other words, a storage area with measurements of 1’8’’ (55 cm) in length by 2’ (62 cm) in width will be fine.

It has a folding system that comprises a hydraulic cylinder. This helps you to easily fold it, and even unfold it safely unassisted.

There are transport wheels integrated to enable you to move it around the room with ease.
